With the rapid expansion of electric vehicles (EVs), building reliable and scalable charging infrastructure is essential. PJV designs tailored solutions that incorporate grid integration strategies.
The 2024 ESIG Grid Planning and Vehicle Electrification report highlights the importance of integrating EV charging with grid planning to ensure stability and resilience. As EV adoption accelerates, grid operators face challenges such as increased peak demand, voltage fluctuations, and potential grid congestion. To address these challenges, PJV can study the implementation of advanced charging management systems that dynamically adjust power flow, prioritize off-peak charging, and enable vehicle-to-grid (V2G) applications. These systems allow EVs to support grid functions during high demand periods, enhancing overall grid reliability.
Furthermore, PJV’s solutions include predictive analytics to forecast charging demand patterns and energy management strategies that distribute loads efficiently across the network. By leveraging data-driven insights, we optimize grid integration and minimize the risk of localized overloading. Our methodology and study approach ensures that EV charging infrastructure remains flexible and responsive to evolving energy requirements.
